I wanted my exterior shutters to be secure and also to be able to be easily removed when and if I had the exterior of my residence repainted.  These screws were exactly what I needed.  They are much better than the plastic scews that come withe vinyl shutters when you purchase them.  I highly recommend these screws to attach vinyl exterior shutters to either a wood sided or vinyl sided house.
